De'ja' Vu! It started out rainy and now it appears to be clearing off. The weather is getting volatile for sure but hopefully it will be another week like last week. You have probably heard that last night (Sunday) a massive tornado hit the city of Joplin Missouri killing at least 90 people (so far) and they have just started the search process early this morning. This was a monster for sure, cutting a huge swath over six miles wide across the center of Downtown Joplin. That is a seriously large tornado. Special note here: Although we are located in the same "Midwest" territory, Joplin is nearly 400 miles West of where I am.
We definitely felt the the magnitude of this storm system though. Last night we got hit with a big, scary thunderstorm that produced heavy lightning, huge rain drops and even hail. All of which are very relaxing when you sleep in a trailer. The part that really bums me out though is that while to us, this weather is an irritating distraction, to other people South of here, it means more devastation.
Here's hoping for a miracle in the form of an immediate dry spell
