We have several new additions to the flower color wheel. Aside from the red roses, orange tiger lilies, blue hydrangeas that are still going strong, we have the giant purple beauties (Rose of Sharon) and one teeny, tiny pink cosmos. This seems to be a rather bird resistant flower, the don't bite the tiny buds off these like they do the others, namely, the sunflowers. The two remaining sunflowers are covered by tulle (yes, I tried this trick again) and so far it has not been pretty. As long as they are still hanging in there, only time will tell.
And last but not least, one lone yellow daisy, all the rest croaked.

The herb garden is going strong because of the constant toggle between bright sun and drenching rain. Usually on the same day. The weather is so weird here. But the plants are really digging it and have grown inches (literally!) in the past week. I already have enough basil to make a batch of pesto. I am cultivating fresh catnip leaves. City Kitty eats it down like salad and loves it. All the other cats reject it. Ingrates! I also collected a small batch of cilantro and dill. So we got herb!
If it rains this afternoon I plan on cleaning out a closet. B-O-R-I-N-G! If it stays sunny, which it is right now, FM and I plan on marking off the yard with spray paint so I can commence digging of post holes. Either that or I am going to start trenching the footprint for the new sheds. Depends on how ambitious I feel in 94% humidity.
