This is yet another structure on the property that has seen better days. This is the "little shed" which is attached to the "big shed" and both need to come down before they fall down. Big Shed is in significantly better shape (meaning it isn't a safety hazard yet) but this ghetto looking structure is coming down pronto. Structures, like people, shrink with age and this structure used to have enough head clearance to walk into and even for a horse. Now you have to squat pretty far down to keep the rusty metal roof from decapitating you. On Friday afternoon, in between the threat of rain, I started to take this apart. But you can't just rip a structure like this down all willy-nilly. It needs to be done meticulously, board by board, carefully removing every single rusty nail in order to prevent injury to people and pets. I was able to pull away all the existing exterior boards but now it's to the point where I need to deconstruct roof and frame.
I requested Fearless Mom get me a hard hat for this portion and I have scheduled a tetanus booster.
I'm not kidding!
