I discovered another dirty little fact about trailers. You should never, ever drink the water out of them. I decided to hook up the water to the motor bungalow this past week and flush out the "winterizing solution" (aka: anti-freeze) out of the lines.
Yes, that's right, the same toxic stuff you pump into the radiator of your car is pumped into the pipes to prevent freezing during the winter. The RV supply place folks call it "Winterizing Solution Specially Designed for RV's". Um, I don't care what they call it, I can read the label... IT'S ANTIFREEZE!
My organic sensibilities were completely appalled! And I think the only use of this water is toilet water since I rarely use any water functions in the trailer anyway.
